Four weeks ago Jake accepted a job in Taylorsville Utah. His first big boy job as a Jr. Business Analyst for an international bank! After a lot of thought and one last minute trip to the DC temple. we felt good about it and decided to take the huge leap of faith out west!
Jake and the kids leave on THURSDAY! That is 4 days from now. I will stay in Baltimore to finish my semester and pack up the house.
It has definitely been very bittersweet the past few weeks. Jake and I got very emotional when we sold our couch...the 1st couch we bought together when we were engaged. We have also sold the truck and a bunch of other things we have loved through years.
It is weird thinking my babies won't occupy their rooms anymore, and that Linkin can bark as loudly as he wants for the next several months!!
Jake and the babies are moving in with Jake's parents! They have been amazing with helping us with the transition. They built two rooms into their basements to make the kids feel at home. Linda is going to work from home for the 3 months to watch Zoey and Logan. Lloyd is here in Baltimore helping us fix up the house so I can try to sell it.
It is tons of work to move a family across the country, but we are excited for our family to start a new chapter. A chapter we can afford!! We don't see ourselves in Utah forever, but want to kids to know Jake's side of the family and for Jake to get a start on his career!
Well...... next time I write I will be missing my husband and kids like crazy! And will have more time to blog!! Thank goodness for SKYPE!!
You guys are in our prayers! We are excited that you are coming out. If there is anything we can do to help please don't hesitate to ask. I told Will and he keeps asking me when he can go play with Zoey again.
ReplyDeleteWow! What a change, huh? I can't imagine spending that much time away from my hubby and babes. Dar is going camping for one night this weekend, and I'm already dreading it. Haha. Good luck, Stay! Hope all goes well & that the time passes QUICKLY!! We should get together when you get to Utah :)
