Jake's New Job

It was pretty deveststing when Jake lost his job in March. We felt blessed that he found a job working at wholesale landscape supply and the boss really
Valued him but he took a huge pay cut being there. I have no idea how we stayed on top of our goals. God really blessed us so much during this time!

Jake interviewed at Goldpoint systems in May. We studied like crazy for the interview that we knew he wasn't really qualified for. We were sad when the job didn't pan out. About a month later they called back with a different opening and after two more awesome interviews they offered him a job as a loan origination specialist.

We also found out that our tenant was going to renew her lease savings us thousands of dollars and just giving us added security!

We seriously are feeling showered with blessings. We really are aware that God has a plan for us and that he heard and answered our prayers.

We're Expecting Baby #3!

I took a pregnancy test in June a few days before my period just for kicks. After trying for 12 months I def didn't feel or even think I was preg. The test looked negative so I threw it away. For some reason I went back into the garbage to look again and there was the faintest little line. It was a dollar store test so I thought it could be a evap line which I read a lot about. It was soo hard to focus all day!!
I finally got a few different tests and they came up positive instantly!! I couldn't believe it!!!! I wanted to tell everyone but managed to compose myself!

I went and got jake a bag of bagels since that is what I mainly craved with my first pregnancies and wrote on the bag "looks like we might be needing these". It was fun watching his brain put it all together!

We are due early march! Here is the worst sonogram pic ever! Apparently that is a baby! Ha!

Gigi's Surgery

Our little guy got his tonsils, adenoids removed and tubes put in his ears. He was so excited to go to the hospital and then was soo excited to get the heck out of there after we were done!
He did so well though and the staff And dr were great! He was ready to go home just about 30 min after he came out of surgery. We got there at 6:30 and left by 9:30.
He was on some good pain meds and was eager to get lots of ice pops and juice.
His recovery took about 7-10 days with mostly good days but some bad ones in there. Glad it is over and went so smoothly. I hope this winter he will not be so miserable with ear infections and strep!

American Fork Car Cruise

Bry and Jenn came down and spent a  summer night with us. We made a big BBQ meal and went to watch the cool cars drive down Main Street. It's always fun to be with cousins!

Another Wedding to Plan!!

I was flattered when sarah pulled me aside at church and asked me to be her wedding planner. She got married July 11th and we had a darling patriotic backyard wedding!

We did it!!! Last credit card paid off!

I am soooo proud of us! We paid off all of our credit cards, and sold out car to get rid of all of our consumer debt! Man did we have a lot! And I found out that as a teacher I get loan forgiveness while teaching at a title 1 qualified school and can forbear them until I complete that.

So....... $24,550 in debt and another $7,000 in my loans which I won't have to pay until they are forgiven completely in two years!!
Total: $31,550

While we still have Jake's loans to tackle, we are so relieved to be in such a better place financially! We have saved ourselves $1000/month in payments! It's so exciting!!!!

A Quick Trip To NY and CT

I had some flight points and vouchers that I needed to use so I took a mini trip home by myself.
It rained the while time I was in NY! It ruined our 4th of July plans and our last min plans to go see James Taylor at tanglewood!! We found tickets on craigslist and then as soon as we got there the thunder and lightening were relentless! They wouldn't even let anyone with lawn seats into the venue. We were so bummed! So.... We sat in our car and watched people try to walk in knowing they would be turned around in a second. We ate our fancy picnic food and giggled about people's droopy expressions as they got rejected like us. We sure made it an adventure though!

I went to CT to spend some time with melissa. We did zumba in her living room and hit up friendlys! She bought me a delicious meal at the restaurant she works. We got to do lots of talking. I love her and even though life is crazy right now I know she will pull through and do amazing things.

Boots and Zoey

Even though she tortures him with love he still comes back begging for more!

Strawberry Days Carnival 2014

The kids can't wait for the PG carnival to roll in every year! We had lots of fun doing some rides, eating cotton candy and strawberries n' cream!

Happy Father's Day!

We are so lucky to have such a hardworking and amazing daddy! Jake has been working so hard the past few months to provide for his family and stay focused on our goals. We are so proud of him even though we miss him when he goes to work.
