Welcome to Utah Jess and Charly!

Jess and Charly find made it out to Utah! Dad and Jess drove across the country in Jess' little SUV with a trailer. They ended up getting stuck in some messy roads in Wyoming but finally made it safe and sound before Christmas. Charly and my mom flew out on the 23rd just in time for the Christmas festivities! We all decided to surprise them with a big welcome sign at the airport! We are soooo happy they are here!!!! Now we can finally fill up our 5 bedroom house.

Our Santa Pictures

We went to fotofly for Santa pics this year! We had fun creating the scene and wrapping santa and eating his cookies! Fotofly always does a good job! Merry Christmas!

North Pole Express

Jenn came up with the idea to go on the Heber Creeper train for the north pole express! We decided to do it when everyone was in town and went on Christmas Eve! We had so much fun singing and chatting and having hot chocolate and cookies. The kids were so happy and it was such a great day to do it. It's so crazy to see the family growing. It's great to all be together!

RELIGION: With Zoey & Logan

I want to make sure I capture all of the cute and touching conversations I encounter with the kids and their sweet little testimonies and love for Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I will be making a big effort to get each convo in this book!

The other day I was in the bathroom doing my hair and Logan walks in. He had been in my room playing a game on the ipad and he is holding the ipad and he looks at me and says:

"How did the wise men know that Jesus was born?"

uhhh.what? lol. I was so thrown off by the depth of this question even though to him it must have been a simple question. To know that he is thinking of these things along with Zoey and they run through theirs heads is so touching for me.

I told Logan that they saw the sign and the star and went to look for Jesus. I told him the shepherds knew because an angel came and told them.

He asked "How did the angel know Jesus was born?" I said, "Because Heavenly Father sent him to tell them about the baby"

"How does Heavenly Father hear our prayers" I told him, 'It's kind of like magic'

Man! This kid it really quizzing me! lol. I love every second of it.

Several months ago while the sacrament was being passed he asked "Why did Jesus have to die?" and "Why did the bad people kill him?"

With Zoey she really absorbs the things being said in sacrament meeting. She will comment on the talks and things being said. She really listens and learns things.

She was soooo excited when my mom mentioned that Jesus LOVES Santa because Santa helps bring love to people. This little girl truly knows that Jesus loves her!

I love these kids!

First Time Ice Skating!

We took the kids ice skating for the first time with some of our friends! It was a cute little afternoon watching them experience that for the first time and a really fun experience watching Jake try to put on their skates!! It was the most difficult thing!! The kids were all over the ice hanging on to Jake for dear life. It was too funny. Logan gave up cause his skates were hurting him but Zoey was a trooper. She wanted to stay on that ice the whole time and by the time it was over she was really doing awesome on her own! She was all smiles the whole time! I love seeing them experience these kinds of things for the first time.

Christmas Fun!

It has been so fun to get ready for Christmas in our own place!! I have been going a little crazy with the Christmas crafts but have had so much fun with it! We have been doing lots of fun Christmas things.
At the beginning of the month we went to a Nativity event with Jake's family. It was wonderful. They created a bethlehem that had activities and children dancing in the "town" and made it very realistic! They had us journey to different rooms for the different nativity scenes and there was excellent singing. It was a great way to start the season.

It has been really fun coming home and seeing all the packages on the door step from me and my mom's online ordering. Everyday it was like a mini Christmas to get home and see what arrived!!

I was in charge of my school Christmas party and that turned out awesome. We did Christmas morning (the party was at 7am) and we did a mock fireplace and had everyone's stockings (all 87) around the room and a Christmas tree. We had a big breakfast feast and played Christmas pictionary. It was just really really fun (and exhausting)!

I took another half day to go and see Zoey and Logan in their Christmas Program at school. They are so cute to watch singing with their class in the PJ's. Santa was there too!

Jake of course did lights on the house and we were pretty much the only house on our street to do them... bummer. We didn't buy a tree this year and just used the small fake tree we already had and ended up loving it.

We went to Jake's work Christmas party that was catered at the Provo City Library. He got a nice fat Christmas bonus too plus some gift cards from his boss. So glad he is working with great people and at a company that is actually making money. He seems to be doing well there.

We did our ward Christmas party. It was hilarious to see how you cater dinner for a ward of 500!!! lol. It's a great ward though and everyone is friendly and down to earth.  We also had Linda and Lloyd's Christmas party.

So needless to say we've been keeping busy. Maybe at times a little too busy for a prego mama entering her third trimester but it was all still really special!

Logan's 4th Birthday Adventure!

Logan knew exactly what he wanted to do for his birthday starting way back in October! He wanted to go to Kangeroo Zoo, McDonald's and Chuck E Cheese!! I took off a half day and started the extravganza! Thank goodness for a little down time in between because this little guy needed a power nap to get ready for round two!
After Chuck E Cheese we went to Grandma and Grandpa's for cake and presents! Logan loved his Picasso Tiles and Hess Truck and all his new toys! He is already planning his birthday for next year. haha.

Logan's personality has exploded in the last six months! Here are something about Logan these days:

- He loves to talk about good guys and bad guys (super heros and villans)
- He is pretty much completely potty trained except we haven't tried nights yet!
- He loves to have conversations and really understand things.
- He is really good at expressing his feelings. He doesn't like to see others sad.
- We still don't know what "Boom Boom" is but he says it all the time and in any context.
-He loves to cuddle with mommy and will search her out at night to cuddle up!
-He is really good at his ipad games. Banana Kong and the Crab game especially. Jake is starting to let him play xbox and its  nightmare cause they are over his head!
- He is easy to anger and gets frustrated easily.
- He LOVES bananas and yogurt together! And string cheese and oranges and Oreos
- He still uses FR before a lot of words. I might look into getting his speech evaluated just to make sure he is where he should be.
-Everyone still calls him Gigi....like everyone!
- He writes his name by himself and is doing great at school. He couldn't care less about coloring pictures and making his art look nice but he attempts everything and is proud of it.
- He once said "I don't like Jesus, he's creepy"
- He bit Zoey on the butt and when he saw the huge bruise the next day almost in tears he says "It's all my fault" and Zoey says... "It's ok. I like blue"
- Yesterday he said "I know everything but not anything else"
- He asks about baby Piper a lot and when she is coming out. He is really excited to be a big brother.

I love this guy. He makes us crazy and crazy happy. I can't wait to see him in the role of big brother. I know he will be awesome.

Happy 4th Birthday Gigi!
