Our Weekend Getaway

Jake and I escaped to St George the weekend after Valentine's Day for some "us" time. We had such a great freshing weekend together. We really needed it. Life has been so busy for us. It's so dang easy to get cause up in the craziness that raising a small family brings. Its so important to both of us to keep our partnership tight. Jake is my number 1. Our relationship means the world to me. I feel no guilt leaving our little ones behind to spend time with my sweet amazing hubby!!

We rented a car and headed down on a Friday. We stopped in Beaver and had to try the "best water in America". Well it was pretty yummy and so was our DQ blizzard!

We rented the best little Airbnb room that was so perfect and private and cozy. We headed out to check out some of the St George Parade of Homes houses and then went to, of course, OUTBACK!

On Saturday we walked to a cute cafe several blocks from our room. We saw more houses, got some Swig, took a nap and then went to dinner at the Cliffside Restaurant for dinner. It was breathtaking to sit there and eat a freakin good burger. We went to the temple afterward and did temple sealings.
Last but not least we got all the stuff to make a brownie sundae.

We saw more houses on our way out of town after breakfast at Black Bear Diner. Geez that place really knows how to do breakfast!

It was just the perfect weekend! I just love this guy. He is my best best friend. I love that we got to spend so much time this weekend! Now back to the craziness!

Valentine's Day 2016

It's now a tradition to decorate doors! The kids now look forward to it and I love how we get to share some love notes with each other! We kept breakfast simple with frozen waffles and strawberries and whipped cream.

Valentine's Day was on a Sunday and the kids looked so stinking cute in their heart dresses and cheezy smiles! After church we did heart shaped PB&J and heart shaped quesadillas.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Sisters in a Bath

I think they love each other!

Date Nights!

We had date nights with the kids! Jake and Zoey went to the Daddy Daughter Night at the Pleasant Grove Rec center. Jake asked Zoey on the date but giving her a puzzle! She talked about the date for weeks! They had a lot of fun at the rec eating dinner, dancing, doing crafts and playing games.

Logan and I got to go on a date too! We went bowling and played arcade games and got yummy greasy bowling ally food! Afterwards we went and got ice cream. I am pretty sure I've never been so full.

We love our kids! We love getting to spend quality time with them. They are so special to us. We are so lucky to have date night with these growing kiddos of ours!
