Natural Disaster Week!

What a week!

I started off the new school year and it has been quite the week!

On Wednesday while I was at Wal-Mart picking up some things for my classroom the ground and the aisles started shaking. I was standing next to 2 other women and we just stood there staring at each other wide eyed! It only last 15 seconds or so. Apparently an earthquake (5.8) that generated in Virginia made its way up a lot of the east coast, even up to NY (my parents felt it). It was a bizarre experience, but there was hardly any damage. Jake didn't even feel it.

Tomorrow I doubt he will be able to avoid the natural disaster heading our way. Hurricane Irene is making its way up the east cost right now and it's a pretty big storm. We got a call today to expect several days without powers.....yuck! We have such huge trees surrounding us (one of them dead). I really hope we don't have any damage to the house and can stay safe as the storm comes through.

It is crazy to have 2 big events in 1 week, plus starting school is huge on its own. Tomorrow I am going to enjoy my Zumba class in the morning and then hurry and run all the errands we need before we are stuck in the house for a while!

Send a prayer our way and up the east coast if you can!

Summer Lovin

Some shots of the kids from this summer. It was a great summer. We don't have a long list of crazy awesome things we did. Actually we hardly did anything at all, but we got to be together as a family everyday. I got to fall in love with these babies of mine even more !

Our Red Wagon

We love our red wagon that Aunt Julie got us for Christmas! We love to go for walks down to the park!

I couldn't resist this picture of Logan falling asleep in the swing!

Logan's 1st Ice Cream Cone

Logan could not just sit back and watch his big sis enjoy some ice cream. We had to get him a cone minus the ice cream to munch on. We put a spoonful of ice cream in there for him and he went to town!

Exercise with mommy...

...Equals lollipops for the kiddies! I have been working my butt off to lose all my baby weight plus my "bad habits before baby" weight. I have been walking (pushing that double stroller isn't a walk in the park either ), doing the elliptical and my favorite .... zumba!  My eating habits have changed completely (salmon fillet in the oven right now). I feel great!  Down over 20 lbs... a bizillion to go. Even Jake is losing weight...mostly because of the shortage of food in the house!
This fall I'm hoping to start teaching dance again and will get a free gym membership with it!  I feel more like myself and less like the fat chick that took over my body for a while there.

Becoming Friends

Zoey loves to hug Logan and she thinks she should carry him around. This is not his favorite thing!

Zoey is doing a great job with sharing for the most part. She always shares her snacks with him. He will just follow her around and wait for her to pass it over! Sometimes we have to remind her to share, but she rarely refuses. Ok...so sometimes she throws a little fit, but overall I am pretty impressed! She doesn't push, or bite or hit....yet...

Logan loves to play and be silly with Zoey. They play on the bed with Jake and he wants to get thrown around by his daddy just like Zoey gets thrown around! I love when they giggle together!

I love my babies!! Today I was telling Jake that Logan is really catching up to Zoey in size and soon they will look like twins. They will be so cute running around together!
