Pumpkin Pickin with Friends

The kids and I went to a fun little pumpkin patch in springville with our friends Heather, Calvin and Shay. We got to play in dried corn, do a hayride,pick a pumpkin, run through a corn maze. It was amazing weather. The kids loved it! Fall time is definitely one of the greatest times of the year! Thanks for inviting us Heather!

Getting Out of Debt - credit card #1 paid off

Jake and I have big plans for our future! Actually by big plans we mean to have the ability to live debt free and have a checking account that doesn't over draft every month and then to build our dream home and go on vacations evey year all while building a great savings and retirement and saving money for our kids future. While I never think we will quit coupons we don't want to have to rely on them. We love Dave Ramsey and the financial peace university program he has. It is inspiring to listen to his show and hear about people actually doing it....getting out of debt and freeing themselves from he bills that plague jake and I every month! 

We are so happy to announce that we paid off our first credit card this week!!! Ahhhhhhh..... Feels good and we can't wait to attack the next one! Jake is trying to get a small second job to help really kick into gear our plan. We have been using coupon left and right too. This is def a baby step in a long way to go but we are doing it!!

Jake & Justin's White Trash 30th Bday Bash!

Well....Jake is 30! And I wanted to celebrate it BIG!! So I emailed his friends like 2 months ago and told them to save the date and it worked. They all came and made this one really fun party! Justin Barrett was also turning 30, so we decided to throw this party for the both of them! It was a surprise party that turned out to be a pretty lame surprise (they came in when no one was ready) but the night was great.....cold but great! We did a White Trash Bash! Everyone had to dress up and bring a white trash side dish. We had KFC, Mac and Cheese, Bacon Wrapped SPAM (Amy and Beagle creation) and microwave ravioli pocket things. And don't forget about the dirty cupcakes complete with potty's, pole dancers and Git Er Done banners. We had a twinkie/hostess eating contest, and we sat around the campfire bashing on Justin and Jake for a long time. We finished it off with a round of Happy Birthday and a pie in the face! It was such a great night! Happy Dirty Thirty Jake!

Hudson's NYC Baby Shower

I put together a little babyshower for Hudson! Since he is named after the river we grew up by, we figured it was fitting to throw him an NYC baby shower! Linda and my mom helped me put it all together. We made sure to have hotdogs and pretzels and cheesecake! We even made a taxi cab carriage diaper cake! I hope you know how much we already love you Hudson!! 

The Sunflowers That Zoey Grew

Back in April Zoey planted these little sunflower seeds that quickly grew into beautiful sunflowers in our backyard! They grew faster than everyone else's plants! When they started to droop daddy cut them down and dried them up. Here they are harvesting the seeds and getting ready to bake them into yummy sunflower seeds! 

Pre School Is Fun!

Zoey is starting her first year at PreSchool. She is going to Sunny View Preschool, a cute little home based pre-school. Zoey likes her teachers Ms.Robin and Ms.Sarah. She was SOOO thrilled to get a new backpack and some fun pencils and erasers and kid scissors. She likes to rub it in Logan's face that he is too little. Poor Logan always responds with "My too wittle for Ghoul?" 

Zoey was the 1st superstar of her class and got to bring in snacks to share with her class. Here are some pictures of the butterfly snack we made for her class! We even got daddy to help us!! We love our little "big" girl!
